First cut of the culinary journey on my thumb! I will never forget that! What an experience it was to debone my first chicken and seabass. Had a hard time thinking of the best way to maintain as little wastage while filleting the seabass and deboning the chicken as much as possible.. Learning from my classmate boh yun was really good. Quick and clean filleting of the fish was amazing. I learned that he took 1 and half years in an Japanese restaurant to reach that level. Time to save money to buy back home some chicken and fishes to practice. Practice will never make perfect but will be better!

what a weekend with my buddies! We went to geylang to eat smelly tofu for the first time in my life.(description smell like rubbish!!~_~) After eating decided to go and play pool, was so funny taking pictures of (censored, censored) while playing! Timo went nuts laughing away. We walk all the way down geylang road to find our steam boat! we ate like pigs and took picture of our bellys for the fun of it. The next day all of us shit and shit haha due to our fun>.< Election was so late into the morning and i just watch for the fun of it. The trend of PAP losing votes compared to last term is impressive! Studying on monday should be as fun as this i hope!

What a fast paced week

As another week pass by so quickly, so many projects i receive so quickly too... Its been a fun week, celebrating Ming Hui's birthday at swensens with 9 of my other classmates and taking funny pictures of my tiko friend brandon( which he admits himself lol).. Didnt get to finish my first project due to the need for special pass from SIA. Today at church my youth pastor talked about Crisis in life, it was amazing how Constantine(Roman Emperor) made Christianity a known religion during their time..

Many a times we use feelings to express our decisions instead of looking at the bigger picture in this post modern world today. I continued after sermon to have rehearsal for the 50th anniversary of my church which is a few different stories from the bible and a many wonderful songs sang by the choir! I am hoping to invite friends to go to the concert as many as possible. Thats all for now i guess.. Tmr is labor day. I hope this coming week will be spend meaningfully.

Last few days had been busy as it was Good Friday! Different people have different thoughts for good friday. some said Jesus died just to have this public holiday once a year... I was giggling in my mind as for Good Friday to me, it is why we have hope after death.. One of the few words that i pick up during my Church's sermon that day was that ''Jesus died and ROSE AGAIN'' which makes it why its different from other religion. I had a wonderful day pondering on what God has done for us.

Saturday was exciting as we had our group project which was with my fellow class mates and my good buddy Eugene.. We went to Siva's workplace at astons specialties at farrer park late in the afternoon for lunch. The project had something to do with customer service. I ordered what Eugene ordered which was Ribeye steak xtra cut.(medium rare) and yi cheang ordered some chicken wings. While waiting for the order to come we saw this random guy's tattoo showing 3 words( hate forgive and... oops i forget what was the last word). They had a fun time trying to take picture of that tattoo without letting the guy notice.

Our order came with the drinks we also ordered. Since we had the same steak we decided to see the texture of the meat. Mine was perfectly done but my buddy's steak was bloody red.. rare!
So we decided to do the questions as we have such a good example of customer service..When we asked for the steak to be reheated we had to transfer the steak into another plate for them which i found it wierd.. but the steak came back after heating fast.. Eugene said that the steak was very tough to eat.. He was disappointed with his meal.. When he ask for more mushroom sauce the service staff which worked like a trainee just took it and came back and left it at the side of the table without passing back to eugene and mumbled here is your mushroom sauce which only i could hear as i was closest to him.. We were all abit dissappointed but not until Siva's manager came over kindly who was in the kitchen to have a talk with us on service. He spoke very truthfully, patiently,understandingly and many other good points>.<
When i paid for the bill when the rest was either at the restroom or finishing up our project, Siva's manager was looking at the counter for our bill and found out that his staff did not type in the order for the drinks and kindly said i didnt need to pay for it. It was so nice of him.
Siva left early and we finish off the day by going to the NTUC to buy some ingredience that Eugene needed for soup..

Sunday started off with a surprise for one of my youth menthor's bithday celebration. Some of my other youths made a really nice birthday card with very EPIC Pictures of him taken in the pass. After the celebration we had combine easter sunday worship with the adults. The Choir sang beautifully and the sermon was very fast paced but meaningful. I went out with my youths after choir practice to see my other friend who was mascotting at united square as a blue mouse for some kid's event.. It was cute to see someone i know in the mascott.. I tried my first mouth of sogurt from my friend's cup. Sogurt is so expesive!!! $3 for 100g! Maybe buying ice cream is more worth it for me.... Went home and played some games with my DCS Classmate online and went to sleep for a new week ahead..

Early morning was abit hungry before reaching school so bought 2 char sao bao, tasted average..

First lesson was with Mr Nate, watched a video of david letterman interviewing my favourite chef Gordan Ramsey. Discussed with the class about knowing what is needed to be a chef and a article about another Chef. Learning,Study and Hardwork was the 3 key words i took away from his lesson.

For Lunch, Mr Nate kindly show us the way to the industrial canteen which was said to be cheaper but wasnt true>.< Got cheated... I ate vegetable rice with my good buddy Eugene.

Second lesson was with Chef Daisy, Covered about vegetables and part of fungi which is one of my favourite ingredients to eat=). Reading in advance about vegetables helped me alot! Tomorrow would get to see some Truffles. Saw interesting pictures of different mushroom and vegetables.

Last lesson was with Chef Samson, covering all about safety in the kitchen and showed us some of his personal knifes which was nice and got to hold some of them! Got to let Timothy to greet hahahaa Went to the IS kitchen to do role play which was abit wierd haha..

It rained after school so i shared umbrella with Eugene to the station and ate dinner.Dinner was bad as ba kut teh taste exactly as prawn soup...

I guess thats all for today and I got to know more duties as a class Rep i needed to do.

Before heading to school I had lunch at a hawker near school, I decided to try the minced meat noodle. While ordering i had nice little chat with the chef about school life and what is good at his shop which was black pepper something.. i forget haha... I told him i will try another time.

First lesson of the day was with Chef Daisy, being the class rep I was told to collect money and buy the book.. after buying.. i wanted to give all the people there their 10 cent change but most of them dont want haha so nice. My wallet was full of coins. All the coins came in useful luckily later in the day for buying recipe file where i gave the change of coins to my classmates.
Chef Daisy gave us our study guide and went through the first chapter about food.The Main points were how IMPORTANT that you KNOW YOUR INGREDIENTS before cooking and a BALANCE MEAL was what i got out of the lesson!!Home work was to read about vegetables.

Waited with Eugene for our last lesson which felt like forever as we explored the school. I entered the school library for the first time which was small and comfy. Haha we drank ice milo from and old school vending machine haha. Memories from long long ago...
2nd and last lesson of the day was with Chef Samson
Got to know which stoves we were using and some of the kitchen things that we need to take note of briefly and some important duties for me to take charge were told..
Paid for our knife sets and recipe file which was lots of money>.<
After class me and Timothy the other class Rep when with Chef Samson to his staff room for counting money and getting to know his table. Manage to see most of the Chefs around his staff room and saw Chef Adrain who interviewed me again^_^

Thats all for now i guess.. Long day tommorrow and have to wake up early=(

First day of school at last after a long long break..
Got to know 2 chefs and 1 language teacher.
Got to know 2 new friends Zairu and Eugene.
Manage to talk to my Junior James Lee from my secondary school which was nice and met my old classmate..

First lesson was with my host menthor Chef Samson, he gave us a wonderful introdution of himself and what it is to be a chef. Determination and Attitude was 2 words that i will always remember=)
Second lesson was with Chef Daisy who will be teaching me essentials to food knowledge. Very inspiring introduction of how she start as a waiter and wanted to be a Chef.
Third lesson was with Mr Nate who has made english way more exciting then my secondary school teacher haha! Just saying the truth.
I thank God for blessing with 3 very nice menthors.

Got to enter one of the kitchens which was quite nice and big.

I guess thats it for now.

A sad day =( 07 11 2010

My best friend Kuan Zi Hong has gone home with the Lord=( Many many memories of how he spend time with me whether is it playing, eating or studying for O levels.. The last day with him was the last paper of O levels in Secondary school life. I will now never regret spending the last moments with him that very day walking home with him!

I wish he was still in this world but i know God has his plans. I know God and Zi Hong want me to stay strong through this period of time... Seeing him with my eyes on the bed in KK hospital ICU resting in peace give me the courage to know that God has already taken care of him.

Tears water my eyes to hear that you are gone but i know we will meet again one day! I pray now for his family especially and all his friends and classmates to stay strong and not think too much as I know Zi Hong wants us to remain cheerful even when he is gone..
I will for sure miss him very much of such a good friend he is!

Thank God for seeing him and his family through this pass 17 years of his life. Zi Hong I just want to say that we will all miss you!

My poor first handphone in my life has died=(

Poor phone first the screen came up with 3 black spots which was already bad=(
Brought to a shop to ask how much the technical fees of fixing was and it wasnt worth it...
few days later buttons started to fail and eventually my phone died=(
Luckily my lovely cousin's boyfriend lend me his spare phone=D
Now all is left is to wait for my contract to complete and maybe i should get an iphone 4 since there is discount for it and i can do many things with it...

My poor friend who went through major operation to change his pacer is in critical condition now from what i heard from my other classmates=(
He was one of the few classmates who always bring joys to my life throughout my school life and now all i can do is pray for him to recover well.. Hope one day he would come to know the lord too.
I know God will take care of him=)

Working life in Broun cafe is averagely good as sometimes it gets boring as there is no customers maybe its just because of the rain. BUT at least i get to know some new friends who have different interesting backgrounds and they are friendly=) Pay is ok only compared to what i heard from my other friends..Hope it increases anyway thats all for this post i guess haven been blogging for a long time..

N lvl results out and a brand new year

Its a brand new year and i have yet to update my blog for a long long time.
2009 has been an good experience for me and I thank God for all that he has done for me=)
N lvl results.. i got real bad results=( i thought i would fail but throught the grace of God i got 19 points just enough to make it to Sec 5. School have started and I have many new teachers=)
Reading the bible as usual=) hope that i will have the perserverance to make my O lvl year much better then my N lvls. What is over is over=)
Aiming for 15 points and below for this year=)

Its been a long time since i updated my blog..
hmm having a bad class this year because its super noisy... and very irritating people which is more irritating then you can think off.. etc face must be super close to you when he talk to you...
Judging from my prelims sure go ite.. but all i hope is for the best which is go to secondary 5. Hopefully my wish come true! If not follow Dylan go ite study same course=P then go poly in year 3. extra 1 year... 21 years old then go NATIONAL SERVICE!
Miss all the MC peeps =( But after OCT my life will change forever! haha!
Wait till dec then get back N LVL results..

Didnt really want it at first, as many people complaint and say that i am hard to contact!

The ceremony was a sucess thanks to China's super long history which many different ideas can come from. All was nice until all the countrys one by one came in>.< Super long !

My life is kinda busy with work and more work=) i didnt really did anything different in life since the last post. Lets talk about today during school.. It was the last period and one of my friend caught a lizard or ghecko whatever you want to call it. One of my the other class mate was so scared when he brought it near him until he ran out of the class.. muhah it was super funny the way he tried to run.

today i messed up my A maths test althought i tried super hard with my fren bc to do he did 4 sums out of9 i did only 3>.> it was a little hard i just think i need i need more practise. Tmr its my school if you guys dunno Saint Andrew's Secondary .. OK by the way Rugby against ACS(I) C divison finals. I heard from lots of my friends we sure lose>.> Hope they win anyway!

life has change for me, i try to put in more effort in my studies=) ftw
Anyway i played squash today during cca i played 13 sets in a row which is 3 games 2 best of 5 and 1 best of 3. I lost them all... This proves my juniors have improved alot in the 4 weeks i did not go to play squash. i dont know why my hand hurt since the first set. I am super tired now as i just wrote my homework compo its 930pm i gtg bye guys and gals.

Woke up at 7.30am and saw my parents went to work.
It was so cold lucky i found my jacket.
Father told me to hang clothes for him as he was a little late.
Mom and siblings were gone when i woke up.
After my father left house went to do the house chores
Then called my friend what was he doing.
He ask me if i wanted to play a prank...online of course as i am at home..
The prank was to bluff his and my friends that he is quiting an online game XD
Went to ate lunch. when i was about to leave house it rain cats and dogs>.<
So i decided to cook something..that was nothing to cook except for noodles>.>
Haiz sad lunch..
After that i went to watch some movies online
then read a forum
Fetch my siblings then bought dinner for them
I had laska :D
And when to read my history text book after dinner
My bro was disturbing me kicking me>.>
After a while i was fed up i chase him.. althought the house not that big 3 steps i reach him>.>
I hit him on his arm
and guess what his fractured or broken or whatever which was 3 weeks ago so it was ok as he doesnt look in pain that means like normal arm just hurts a little..
ANYWAY.. i hit the wrong arm zz i forget all about his arm
then he cried then my mum heard it and came and ask who started it>.>
then after that incident
I decided to think of the songs for the coming week as i am song leading for my fellowship.
Then i didnt had the song disc.. then when to find some song sheets from last year o.O
found 4 sheets manage to choose 2 songs i know how to sing and suitable..
At last i went to sleep.

My Young People Fellowship(YPF) had OUTDOOR games it was quite fun and funny>.<
Wei Zhong was my partner >.> he had a great idea for the tie the baloon to your leg game..
You should know what game is that.. burst the baloon with your feet..

Then i went to watch Narnia Prince Caspian for the second time with my fellowship mates..

but in the end someone told me to sit with them as they squeeze to make space for me..

i had my first exam paper today!! sry for not updating my blog as very little people read my blog. so sad!! so the exams are over next next monday! i envy my cousin nicole as she doesnt have exams!! raaaaa... so good! I will just pretend that she has a exam! So little things happen to me lately as i have exams. The worst thing about exams is that they are in the afternoon!! ok got nothing to say liao BUTBUTBUT I wish u all good luck for those people that really have exams!! hiphip horaaaaaaaaay!!

i nearly lost it was a close one and i told my self althought my oponent has game point but i still can duce it. I won in the end so happy! Then huh he call his senior come disturb the match, say referee kai you and balala =( Any way i am glad that this week is the last week for all the squash competition.
I am feeling so relax after a week of tiring matches and training. I try to update my blog more ok bb!!

Mind being troubled. And guess what happen to my face!

Why are some mothers or teacher not as understanding as our friends? i feel very hot tempered today but i must remember to leng jin so i didnt really show my nasty side of me! Phew, at last monday is over.
Anyway lets talk about that later, i had school as always and we did something stupid during class for fun. It happen when our english teacher brought us to the com lab to type a short compo. I typed and typed until something pop up and i close it without seeing which X i press at the top right of the screen and i accidentally press on the on the compo one. And better still i did not even read the 'do u want to save your document' !! i just click no without even reading raaaaaaaaaaaaaa what is this!!! I feel i slaping myself that time. Lucky this teacher was not the strict kind. I gave up writing as there was very little time. Some of my classmate already finish thier and they pupurposly play the music at full blast lol the class was like singing haha!! the teacher cant tel who speaker played that song even lol!!
The worst is still to come after school, during my squash training i was playing with the best sec 1 guy and u wont like to know what happen! The squash ball hit my face and it was very unreasonable as i gave him lots of place to play the ball. But first I thank God that it was not the raquat (watever spelling) hit my face. Phew!! If the requat hit my face i think i will be sent to the hospital and i will not be able to tell u what happen now.

Anyway about the teacher and mother thing! i call my form teacher ghost as it is a nicer word to describe her face then caling her p*******. She called my house phone last weekend and guess what that call spoiled my whole week end! nothing much to safe ler. I hope u can pray for me that my face doesnt swell any more! and hope that i dont get this kind of injury any more..

Phew i nearly could not write this post as i thought i lost my pass and user name.

Anyway sorry for not updating my blog as i have been quite busy. I have to train and play squash for the whole week. I am glad that i push my self so hard that i can hardly even walk after training. What i did? After the C division tornament match i went to train with my senior haha. i did not regret doing so as i manage to learn from all my mistakes during the training.
i must get myself ready for the coming week hope that i can concentrate on what i do, either squash or school or etc...
hmm I am glad that the fellowship had became bigger in people and i hope they can come for fellowship every sunday and including me. I gtg bb.

i am doing quite well in maths and all i am worry for is what is going to happen this sunday!!
i hope that i can feel much better and forgot about everything that have just pass. last 3 days were very tiring because on monday i needed to go for squash, on tuesday i need to run 4 round which i around 3km during Pe and one wednesday i had squash training again! raaaaaa lucky i have no homework or i die. Phew i must thank God. Today is just a normal day of school.

I am feeling very shocked today but god has told someone to comfort me throught all the difficulties!
I really thank the lord for all that he has done for me and i know that god has his own plan for everyone of us and it is every single one of us not me only but every single soul out there.
Without him i really cant understand anything in life. so many things happen within the last few weeks. My great grandmother died peacefully and so many things happen in church. Sad that i only could understand what is happening only within my own knowledge. I know that all this will be only decided by god. all this i only can put this in God's hand. i am felling quite sad right now.
